Chocolate Crackle Cookies


Despite of the flu, I still wanted to film. I think the the cracked top of the cookies look very pretty and your friends would be surprised how you make those cookies!! They are perfect for Christmas gifts and Christmas will be here before you know it!


Chocolate Crackle Cookies
(makes 20 cookies)
110g cake flour
30g cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
40g butter
80g sugar
1 egg
some icing sugar (sifted)

Method:
  1. Mix together the cake flour, cocoa powder and baking soda.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time.
  4. Sift the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Combine well until it becomes a cooke dough.
  5. Shape the cookie dough into a rectangle. Chill for 30 minutes in the fridge or until firm. 
  6. Divide the cookie dough into 20 equal portions and shape them into balls. Coat the cookie dough balls with the icing sugar.
  7. Bake in a pre - heated oven at 180C for 15 - 18 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring them onto a wire rack.
They are so pretty to look at!! These cookies are crunchy on the outside and chocolatey inside!!!
